Multisensory Structured Language Teaching

High-Impact, Targeted MSL Support for Students with Dyslexia and Literacy Difficulties

Multisensory learning is the simultaneous stimulation of two or more of the sensory receptors. MSL encourages a greater connection between language, letters and words.  Using a multisensory approach when teaching language encourages retention and recall of language concepts.

Our qualified teacher and MSL specialist, Tia, provides MSL sessions for students of all ages. These sessions focus on structuring language learning in a systematic way that builds each concept on prior learning.

Lessons are 45 minutes long and include the 6 essential components of reading/literacy: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, and writing.

Prior to tuition, each student is required to undergo an assessment to determine their strengths and areas to improve. This information is used to create an effective, customised learning plan.
